Hey all. Looking for your opinion on the mining world. Currently it's just a regular 1.8 world that resets every so often, but I'm thinking of creating a custom generator for it.

Option 1
Leave it as it is, a 1.8 world that resets

Option 2
A completely underground cave-world. No surface, just pure stone, ores, etc. More things will be added to make it more interesting.

Option 3
A mountain world, ores will be inside the mountains and below as usual. Mountains will create the whole world, there won't be any plains, swamps, etc.

Option 4
Something else?

I think it should be left as is. The mining world is currently the only place where it's possible to get the new 1.8 blocks such as the ones found in the ocean monuments.

Although I do like the options of both two and three, I am going to have to vote for option one for what Cookie pointed out for me. Though it is called the mining world, and is commonly associated with only gathering underground resources, it is also very usable for above ground resources like dirt, sand, wood, and other needs. For this reason, we'll need a variety of biomes present to give equal chance to players to get their resources without destroying the overworld. That limits out options two and three for me, so that left one.

Mining means caves opt 2 would be best
Well yea, but we don't want our regular world looking bad cuz ppl don't have anywhere else to dig entire deserts, cut down whole forests, and if it's all caves we would have no ocean temples.... D:
