A few weeks ago, the hard drive on our server failed, our provider refused to replace it. This led to our downtime and the lost of all data we had prior, as all backups had been kept on that drive at the time.
So this means (another) fresh start, hopefully a better one. Currently I'm working on getting the server and forums back into working shape. The server is already up and running, however things will reset/change between now and the completed server, so don't be shocked if the map is suddenly reset, all your crystals are gone, etc. We're simply working on making the server better. That being said, I can guarantee that the map will be reset before our full launch, until then feel free to build as your heart desires.
As for the future of the server, I'm going to have to redo everything, all progress I had made prior was lost. This isn't completely bad though, as we've got a guy making a spawn city for us, soon we'll be in full drive again to make this server possible.
If you're not aware, The Storm is a survival/economy server with RPG elements, which is just a fancy way of saying you'll be able to play survival with a ton of awesome features such as quests, skills, and a bunch more.
The server is currently running 1.7.10/1.8, you can join with either version, but please be aware no 1.8 blocks/features work on the server currently, and it is currently unknown if/when they will work.
