Werewolf
In its simplest form Werewolf is played by two teams: the Werewolves, whose members know each other's identity, and the Civilians, who at first know only the number of wolves in the game. Games require a moderator who does not participate as a player.
There are two phases: "night," when the Werewolves may eliminate a player from the game, and "day," during which players vote to "lynch" a suspect. These phases follow each other continuously until all Werewolves have been eliminated or the Werewolves outnumber the Civilians.

Some players may be given a role with a special ability. These players are considered the leaders of either clan. To activate one’s ability, you must message the Moderator that is hosting the game outside of the playing field including details of what you will do. There will be no revealing of anyones roles during the game unless it is by the Moderator. Common examples include:

  • The Spy: a Civilian or Werewolf who may "investigate" one player every two nights, learning that player's role from the moderator.
  • The Doctor: a Civilian who may protect a single player from being killed by Wolves each night.
  • The Conspiracist: a Civilian who may once kill any other player during the night.
  • The Bystander: a Civilian or Werewolf who may cancel the effect of another player’s ability each night.
  • The Shark: a Werewolf who may kill a Civilian every night.

Gameplay
This game is based on talking during the day, making accusations, befriending and rivaling others by only utilizing information that is presented within the game. Please keep in mind this is only a game, and that anything presented in said game should not be taken personally. There should be an odd number of players when the game is hosted, but it can accommodate and amount of players. The game will start on day, after all players have been assigned their roles. The game will begin with accusations being made, and end with a climactic lynching. Please don’t be afraid to quote very old posts from the forum, as it is only part of the game. Use the posts as evidence, and quote them to signify who and what you’re talking about.

Night
All players become inactive. The moderator then instructs all members of the Werewolves to begin chatting in their private message group. They pick a "victim" by voting and talking within their own chat with the Moderator. Once all abilities have been used by both Civilians and Werewolves, and all the votes are tallied, day will resume.
A similar process occurs for other roles with nightly actions. In the case of The Spy, the moderator will respond to The Spy in a private message giving the answer to his ability.
No talking will be permitted by Civilians or Werewolves during the nighttime period within the main forum. This also pertains to there being NO talking of the game outside of the forum. Any evidence or reports of this will have you immediately removed from the game.

Day
The moderator instructs players to once again become active and announces who had been killed the previous night. The role of the murdered player will be revealed to all and commonly supplied with a story to keep the players happy. Dead players may not attempt to influence the game in any way. The same goes for any players that are not signed up with the game.
Discussion ensues again. At any point a player may accuse someone of being a Werewolf and prompt others to vote to lynch him. If over half of the players do so, or however many the majority is, the accused person is eliminated, his role is revealed, and night begins. Otherwise, the phase continues until a lynching occurs. Because players have more freedom to deliberate, days tend to be longer than nights. Please don’t try to rush the game, and think out all decisions before you enact upon them, or you could end up dead next.
